Our new facility was designed with your pet in mind, and is complete with individual kennels and outdoor runs, as well as a play area where dogs enjoy personal play time with Melodie. While the dog and cat areas are housed in the same building, they are separate and cats are entirely out of view of the dogs.
The Dog Facility
- Climate Control: In-floor heating is kept at a temperature that's comfortable for all of the pets staying with us.
- Dog Pens: Individual pens are 4 feet wide, 4 feet deep and 4 feet high, and are equipped with solid wood walls and access to outdoor runs. The 'doggie' doors are kept open in good weather but closed at night. While only dogs from the same household can be kept together, our pens are large enough to comfortably house 3 small dogs or 2 Labs (or similarly sized dogs), or 1 St. Bernard (or similarly sized dogs).
- Dog Runs: Each dog pen has its own fully enclosed run, which is 4 feet wide by 10 feet long and 6 feet high, and made from 8 gauge industrial steel.
The Cat Facility
- Cats are housed in their own spacious area and have access to secure individual outdoor play areas in which they can sun themselves or bird watch. Outside cat pens are 4 feet long by 3 feet high and can be accessed by sliding doors that are kept open in good weather, and closed at night.
Outdoor Play Area (for dogs)
- 40 feet wide by 80 feet long and 8 feet high
- For safety reasons, only dogs that live together can play together
